Don't miss the biggest parade around! The parade steps off from Bartlett Elementary School at 10:00 a.m. and travels down Whipple, turns south on Pontiac Trail and finishes at Nine Mile. Floats, bands, walking groups, horses, and everything else you can imagine will be entertaining you for the 1 1/2 hour long parade!
Something new this year for parade participants-
- Although there is no entry fee for the parade, we are accepting non-perishable food donations for Active Faith Community Service as a Good Will Entry Fee. When you enter and receive your number for line-up, you can, if you wish, donate non-perishable food.
-
Reminder: If you have small children in the parade, note that the parade is 1.5 miles long. Please make sure they have a wagon to ride in.
-
Groups: please have your group gather at a central location and then come to the entrance of Hagadorn just north of Second Street. There will be NO parking at the drop site. It is just a drop off. The leader of your group should be there to greet your members if you don't arrive as a group, so please set a time to gather.
Judging of the parade entries will begin at 9:00 A.M.
Ribbons will go to the Mayor's Choice, Grand Marshal's Choice, Best Vehicle, Best Float, Best Business Float, Best Equestrian Unit and Best Non-Profit Float.
The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. on the corner of Lafayette (Pontiac Trail) and Whipple Street and goes south on Pontiac Trail to the Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian Church south of Nine Mile. The 100 or so units will take a little over an hour to cover the route.
