How to Get a Good Seat for the Parade:

Dog March

Join this year's Dog March and walk your dog in the Pumpkinfest Parade! The theme for this year's parade is Super Heroes - you don't have to dress up, but feel free to come in costume as your favorite super hero if you'd like. Dog costumes are also welcome!

Guidelines for participating in the Dog March:
  • All dogs must be on leashes.
  • Children are encouraged, but dogs must be in the control of an adult at all times.
  • Proof of rabies vaccine is required.
  • It goes well without saying that your dog must play well with others. :)

This event is being sponsored and organized by Dandy Acres Small Animal Hospital. Call them at (248) 437-1765 today to reserve a spot!

For Parade Participants

We are looking forward to having you join us for the Pumpkinfest Parade! Here is some general information about the parade:
  • Route Information: The parade begins at the corner of Whipple and Warren Streets. It heads east on Whipple, and then south on Pontiac Trail for approximately 1.5 miles. The parade ends just south of Nine Mile in the parking lot of the Fellowship Evangelical Presbyterian Church.
  • Theme: The theme for this year is Super Heroes.
  • Entry Fee: Although there is no entry fee for the parade, we are accepting non-perishable food donations for Active Faith.
  • Small Children: Due to the fact that the parade route is 1.5 miles long, please make sure that small children have a wagon to ride in.
  • Groups: Please try to have everyone who will be with your group gather at a central place and then come to the parade starting point at Hagadorn, just north of Second Street.
  • Parking: There will be no parking at the drop off site! Parking at the pick up site will be limited as well, so please plan accordingly.
  • Candy: Throwing of candy or other items is not allowed. You may bring candy to pass out along the parade route, but you may not throw anything.
