2011 Pumpkinfest Parade

 
The Pumpkinfest Parade will take place at 10am on Saturday, October 1st.

The theme for the 2011 Pumpkinfest Parade is THE FABULOUS FIFTIES !


How to Get a Good Seat for the Parade:
  • Any place along Pontiac Trail north of the entrance to the Lyon Trail Subdivision to West Liberty Street.
  • Along West Liberty Street (west of Pontiac Trail to South Warren Street)
  • Along South Warren Street south of West Lake Street. 

Parade route map will be provided soon!  Arrive early and be sure to bring a blanket or lawn chair!

Special Instructions for Parade Participants

 
 
Parade Theme:
  • The Fabulous 50's
Parade Route:
  • Start / Line-Up:  The parade begins in the Lyon Trail Subdivision (south of 9 Mile Road on the east side of Pontiac Trail). 
  • End:  Bartlett Elementary School
  • Walkers may be dropped off at the Church of Christ located on Pontiac Trail in front of the Lyon Trail Subdivision.  Parking is not allowed at the Church during the parade. 
  • Parking is available at Leo's Coney Island and Kroger parking lots.
  • All vehicles must be at a minimum 30% decorated according the parade theme unless vehicle is pulling a float or is a classic car.
  • Units wishing to be judged must be in the line-up by 8:30am.
  • The parade route is approximately 2.1 miles long.  We encourage small children to either ride in a float or in a wagon.
