| | Animal Rescue's Furry Friends Will Be Festival Guests | | |
New this year, Furry Friends Rescue will have adoptable dogs at Pumpkinfest! Adoptable dogs will be on display from 11 am - 3 pm, Saturday and Sunday on Lafayette in front of the Chamber of Commerce (weather permitting). Furry Friends adopts dogs and cats every Saturday from 10 am - 3 pm at Market Place Pets in South Lyon and Tractor Supply in New Hudson. Cats will be available for adoption on Saturday during Pumpkinfest at Market Place Pets and Tractor Supply but not at the festival because large crowds and noises tend to make the cats and kittens nervous.
The primary goal in having adoptable dogs at this event is for people to meet the animals and become aware of Furry Friends. Anyone interested in adopting a dog or cat can call Furry Friends Rescue found and president, Pat Coffee at (248) 860-5688 or visit the group's website.
