We're Celebrating 26 Years of Pumpkinfest in 2010!
Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd, 2010
Beginning with Movie Night on Friday, until the last pie is eaten at the Pie Eating Contest on Sunday, residents and visitors will have a fabulous fall weekend in charming, downtown South Lyon.
On Saturday morning at 10:00 a.m. the mile long Pumpkinfest Parade, complete with floats, antique vehicles, marching bands, dance groups and community organizations leaves Whipple Street, moves south on Pontiac Trail and comes to its conclusion at Nine Mile Road.
The fun continues at Millennium Middle School where the Children's Activity Venue, outdoor entertainment, dog show, and various contests are just a part of the weekend's activities.
Millennium Middle School is the site of the Pumpkinfest Arts and Crafts Show, which offers a wide variety of handmade arts and crafts, as well as a limited number of local commercial (home-based) exhibitors. Crafters from the surrounding communities will participate in this juried craft show. This craft show is a much anticipated event for South Lyon and the surrounding communities and draws thousands of visitors.
Join us on Saturday Night for Downtown Saturday Night - a party in the streets of Downtown South Lyon featuring an evening of live music and fun. |
